“No eye hath seen, no ear hath heard, nor mind hath ever thought the wonderful things God has made ready for those who love Him.” – 1 Corinthians 2:9
my story
"Just pursue what you're passion about and everything else will fall into line..."
…is more or less what my mom’s friend told me back in 2022 during an evening visit. At that time, I was going through one of my darkest seasons to date – I’d graduated university, was living back home in the Midlands and was working a job that I absolutely could not stand. Some call it a quarter-life crisis, but for me, I knew it as purposelessness.
Therefore, when this one family friend spoke me those magical words one evening, for the first time ever, I asked myself the question… what am I passionate about in life?
I mean, it definitely wasn’t my degree field of Mathematics, and Lord knows it wasn’t what I was doing as my current job. So I prayed, and I thought, and I prayed some more, until one ominous word floated like an Autumn leave down into my mind. Creativity…
But that’s a bit broad of a passion. Oh, I know. But it was all that I got, so I ran with it. And over the next few months I followed every single Vogue runway shoot, tuned into every single music or movie nomination and read every single Architectural Digest post I could, just to name a few. Deep down, I hoping that something, anything would give me more of a glimpse into where exactly my life calling was. And it wouldn’t be until January of 2023, after having visited a small-time cinema in Bridgnorth to watching Steven Spielberg’s The Fabelmans (2022), that it finally clicked.
I’ve always loved movies. Always. From The SpongeBob SquarePants Movie (2004) to every single Quentin Tarantino movie out there. But there was something about that one cinema trip that touched my soul like nothing else. I got back in the car and knew… I wanted to make movies. Film for me, is the only artistic expression within which all other art forms can subsequently be expressed. Poetry, music, fashion, architecture, photography, dance, the culinary arts. The list goes on and on. However, it was then heard a preacher say to…
"...don't follow your passion - find your passion and teach it to follow your purpose..."
…and the rest was history. Passion can be confused with feelings. Passion can dwindle. Passion can come and go, but purpose is for life.
So flash forward 9 months and I’d packed up and relocated to London, where I’m living now – working a day job to fund my life’s purpose. From all that I hear, the film industry isn’t an easy one hope, skip and jump into. However, I believe in miracles. And a miracle is just what I might need to bring all that I have in my head to the big screen.
my vision
"At any given moment, the one with the bigger dream wins" - Dave Chapelle

christ
My primary driver in life is to glorify Christ on the big screen in ways that have been seen before. With the grittiness of exploitation films from the 70's, the innovation from French New Wave cinema, and messages straight out of the Holy Book itself, I intend to create work that attracts every race, age and belief alike.

craft
The stories I seek to tell in my screenplays combine rhythmic dialogue, no-holds-barred storytelling and characters that will follow your into your dreams at night. If you've already met me, it's no secret that the works Quentin Tarantino have greatly influenced my craft. However, the films I intend to make are like ones that have never been seen before.

career
I truly believe that when it comes to the creative arts, the sky is the limit. Therefore, I'd be lying if I were say that I know exactly where this climb of a career journey is going to take me, but at the same time, I look forward to finding out. One thing I do know is this - I'm not going to stop until I see all that's in my mind being shot out of a projector.
on this website
"It's not about what you know, but who you know" - literally every person I've ever spoke to
…therefore, think of this website as somewhat of my calling card. Like a little piece of Luke spread across a few web pages with a .com on the end of it. Being someone that doesn’t have any social media, this is also my means to get my work out in the world whilst still holding onto my own personal principles.
Below, I’ve outlined what you’ll find on this website, including my blog, my art and a short collection of movie reviews.
blog
A journal of some sorts, where I write short articles on my lives experiences and lessons I’ve learned along the way.
art
A collection of my work, from my writing to photography. Now, I’m no Ansel Adams, but I love to give it a go still. I’ve also included a few films, people and places that are currently inspiring work. A few of which may be pretty predictable, whilst others, not so much.
opinions
Aka, my movie reviews. I’ve named them opinions because that’s exactly what they are. All art is subjective and therefore, as are the reviews.
